Inspiring visit to Crestwood Community School
Yesterday we attended the Cherbourg’s Career Fair at Crestwood Community School to assist Balfour Beatty plc/The Smart Motorway Alliance on the M3. Our objective for the day was to inspire younger generations to consider construction as a career path.
Our action-packed stand consisted of:
👷🏻♂️Demonstrations of Zone Contractors innovative ‘Zone Jobs’ mobile & tablet application (watch out for its launch in the near future);
👷🏽♀️VR technology to simulate onsite construction activities such as a VR digger simulator;
👨🏻💻360 Technology to highlight how the technology could be used to innovate and its potential uses on site;
👩🏿💼Drone Technology and how it is currently being used to survey construction projects;
We even had a scale excavator and articulated dump truck so the students at Crestwood School could try their hand at muck shifting!!!
Needless to say, the stand was a massive hit! Thank you to Kathryn Boyce for inviting us and Conor Chippendale for being our VR model! Also, a huge thank you to Dawn Smith for organising the event, it was great!
